Jaliana’s Treasures is inspired by my niece Jaliana Erin Wormley-Ford, who suddenly passed on September 27, 2020 from Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 7. Jaliana was fun, vibrant, outgoing, sassy, and just a joy to be around! Although sudden and still difficult to believe at times, I rest knowing that she is watching over me as my beautiful butterfly. A butterfly starts as a caterpillar that grows rapidly, undergoes transformation between immature and mature stages, shreds its skin, spreads its wings then flies. While her life here on earth was short, she impacted me and others in a way that has transformed our life for the better and has caused us to soar after our dreams. Each purchase helps my dream, mission and Jaliana’s legacy remain true.

Our Mission

I had so many emotions after her untimely death and simply didn’t understand how to process this tragic loss. I felt the only way to try and cope with this loss was to think about what made her happy and brought her so much joy. Jaliana loved three things: her tutu, her sunglasses, and her makeup. Creating a space in honor of her will now allow me to connect with other little girls who enjoy the things she enjoyed.

I wanted to create a platform to educate parents and children on Type 1 Diabetes. Her mission was to always look fashionable, trendy and help others so Jaliana’s Treasures is here to pick up where she left off.
